Energy and Climate Law at Groningen Among Top 10 Energy LLMs in the World

According to the website www.LLM-Guide.com, a leading directory of Master of Laws (LL.M.) programmes, the LLM in Energy and Climate Law at the University of Groningen is among the 10 best energy law programmes in the world. The Groningen Centre of Energy Law is delighted with the news and sees it as an encouragement for their future activities. The LLM in Energy and Climate Law at the University of Groningen  http://www.rug.nl/rechten/education/international-programmes/llm/ecl/  is a one year long, full-time specialization for lawyers in the fields of energy and climate law.

The LLM consists of six compulsory courses:
  • Climate Law (6 ECTS)
  • Economics of Regulation (6 ECTS)
  • Energy Contracting (6 ECTS)
  • Energy Law and Policy (6 ECTS)
  • Energy Market Law (6 ECTS)
  • Energy Investment and Trade Law (6 ECTS)
as well as a seminar International Environmental Law (6 ECTS) and a Master’s thesis (18 ECTS). A new round is starting in September 2017 and registration is now open at http://www.rug.nl/rechten/education/international-programmes/llm/application/.
